It’s important to recognize where you started. Patrick MacKelvie and I first connected through a nonprofit in 2012, when he was launching Reimagine Apparel. He took a chance on me as a novice college designer, and a few years later, hired me as Creative Director.
Based in Portland, Oregon, Reimagine Apparel worked with high schools across the state to create apparel for clubs, activities, and athletic programs. By working virtually, we were able to keep overhead low and make custom apparel more accessible for schools and their communities.
